National Overseas Scholarship (NOS)

National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) is run by the Central Government for low-income students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic Tribes, landless agricultural laborers and traditional artisan classes. Through this scholarship, students of these categories can go abroad to study Master or PhD. The government runs these scholarships so that the economic condition of these communities can improve.

Fulbright-Nehru Master Fellowship

This fellowship is awarded to students who have completed studies equivalent to a US bachelor’s degree. They have at least three years of work experience and want to return to India and contribute to their society. This fellowship is given for two years to pursue master’s studies in the United States. Through this, Indian students can study subjects like Environmental Science, International Affairs, Journalism.

Dr. Ambedkar Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Educational Loan for Overseas Studies

The purpose of this scholarship is to help OBC and ABC students. Through this, interest subsidy is given on education loans taken for Master, MPhil and PhD studies abroad. In this way Indian students are able to study abroad without worrying much about money.

Fulbright-Column Climate Fellowship

This fellowship is for Indian scholars registered for PhD in India. This is for pre-doctoral level research. The selected candidate is sent to an institute in America. This fellowship is for 6-9 months.

Miss Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship

This fellowship is fully funded by the Government of India. It is for one year, which can be extended by one more year depending on the performance of the candidate. Through this fellowship, selected fellows are sent to St. Antony’s College, Oxford University. The position of the candidate is equivalent to that of a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.
