Mumbai From thrillers to horror dramas, slice of life stories and a lot of content is available on the OTT platform. From Sonam Kapoor’s crime drama ‘Blind’ to the biopic of popular cookbook author Tarla Dalal (played by Huma Qureshi), OTT platforms are all providing raw, impactful and poignant content.

Here is the list of very special titles of this week:

‘Blind’ (July 7): Directed by Shome Makhija, the intense drama ‘Blind’ features Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lillete Dubey and Shubham Saraf in pivotal roles. Sonam Kapoor is seen in the detective role in the film. In the film, she is engaged in catching a serial killer. It has released today on JioCinema.

‘Tarla’ (July 7): Based on the life of talented home cook Tarla Dalal, ‘Tarla’ is directed by Piyush Gupta, and stars Huma Qureshi in the role of Tarla. It also stars Sharib Hashmi in an important role, who plays Tarla’s husband in the film. In the film, Tarla wants to do something in her life. he/she is fond of cooking. Due to which she starts giving cooking classes at her home and slowly starts running TV shows. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari’s EarthSky Pictures, Tarla will stream on D5 from July 7.

‘IB 71’ (July 7): ‘IB 71’ is a spy story set during the 1971 war. Disney Plus Hotstar will premiere Vidyut Jammwal-starrer espionage thriller ‘IB 71’ on July 7. The film did not garner much popularity after its theatrical release, so it will be worth watching if it manages to attract the OTT audience.

The film reveals the untold story of India’s biggest espionage mission against the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Vidyut is seen playing the character of IB agent Dev Jammwal. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Vishal Jethwa, Faizan, Khan, Ashwath Bhatt, Danny Sura, Dalip Tahil and Suvrat Joshi. It is produced by T-Series, Reliance Entertainment and Action Hero Films.

‘Adhura’ (July 7): The story of ‘Adhura’ revolves around a prestigious school in Ooty. The 2007 batch students are having a reunion. But this nostalgic reunion turns sinister when Adhiraj Jaisingh meets a 10-year-old kid from the current batch. The name of this 10 year old child is Vedant Malik. The story has dark secrets from the past. Adhiraj starts solving this puzzle.

Produced by Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment and produced by Ananya Banerjee and Gaurav K. Directed by Chawla, the series stars Ishwak Singh, Poojan Chhabra, Rijul Ray, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia and Aru Krishna Verma starring Rasika Duggal and Shrenik Arora. Rahul Dev is playing an important role. It will stream on Prime Video from July 7.

The Trial: Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka: The courtroom drama starring Kajol as Noyonika Sengupta, also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, Elli Khan, Kubbra Sait and Gaurav Pandey in key roles. The story follows the journey of Noyonika. Noyonika and her two daughters are left alone after her husband’s arrest for taking sexual favours. Nayonika returns to work as a lawyer to get her life back on track and face the challenges life throws at her.

‘Kohra’ (July 15): ‘Kohra’ is the story of an NRI man who is murdered before his/her marriage. While solving the mystery of his/her murder, many secrets are revealed and the secrets of families that are at loggerheads over many issues come to the fore. The series will also feature actors like Suvinder Vicky, Barun Sobti, Varun Badola, Harleen Sethi, Rachel Shelly and Manish Chowdhary. It will release on Netflix on July 15.
