New Delhi: In the last three months, terrorism is trying to raise its head once again in Jammu and Kashmir. Now terrorists are targeting army personnel along with the general public. Due to which this country has suffered a lot due to these terrorist activities. If we look at the terrorist activities in Jammu this year, then till July 16 in the year 2024, terrorists attacked Jammu 11 times. In which 12 security personnel were martyred while 10 civilians also died. While 55 people have been injured.

When did terrorists attack Jammu this year?

July 2024
In the month of July this year, terrorists have attacked Jammu and Kashmir thrice so far. In which 9 army personnel have been martyred. While 5 soldiers have been injured.

• July 16: Four Army personnel, including an officer, were martyred in an encounter with militants in Doda district.
• 8 July: Five army personnel were killed and five injured in a terror attack in Kathua district.
• July 7: An Army personnel was injured in a militant attack on a security post in Rajouri district.

June 2024:
This year, the month of June has seen the most terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Last month, terrorists attacked four times in which many soldiers and pilgrims were killed. On June 9, terrorists targeted a bus of pilgrims in Reasi area near Katra.

• June 26: Three foreign militants were killed in an encounter in Doda district.
• June 12: One policeman injured in a militant attack in Doda district.
• 11/12 June: Two foreign militants were killed and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan killed in an encounter in Kathua district. Five Rashtriya Rifles jawans and a Special Police Officer were injured in a militant attack in Doda district.
• June 9: Nine pilgrims were killed and 42 injured in a terrorist attack on a bus in Reasi district.

May and April 2024:

• May 4: One Air Force personnel was killed and five injured in a militant attack in Poonch district.
• April 28: A Village Defence Guard was killed in an encounter with militants in Udhampur district.
• April 22: A government employee was shot dead by militants in Rajouri district.

Dealing with the terrorist attacks in Jammu this year has been quite challenging. So far only five terrorists have been killed. In fact, now terrorists are attacking in those areas where there are more trees and plants. After the attack, the terrorists are running away from the same routes. Security experts say that terrorists are targeting new areas where less security personnel are deployed.
