From Pune to Pakistan… all 20 wickets are in the name of spin bowlers, created an outcry


New Delhi. Spin bowlers did wonders in Test cricket on Thursday (24 October). From India to Pakistan, spin bowlers dominated. Indian spin bowlers Washington Sundar and R Ashwin together took all 10 wickets in the first innings of New Zealand, while three spin bowlers of Pakistan together created an outcry by taking all 10 wickets in the first innings of England. It is a coincidence that the spin bowlers of India and Pakistan did wonders on the same day. The spinners of both the countries showed the magic of their spin and left the visiting batsmen helpless.

Indian spin all-rounder Washington Sundar returned to play Test after almost 4 years. Sundar was not included in the first Test squad. After losing the first test match, he/she suddenly entered Team India. Sundar, who was included in Team India under the wild card, got a chance in the playing eleven in the second test and he/she took 7 wickets alone in the first innings of the Pune test against New Zealand. R Ashwin took 3 wickets. Sundar took seven wickets for 59 runs in 23.1 overs, while Ashwin took three wickets for 64 runs in 24 overs. Sundar and Ashwin bundled out New Zealand’s first innings for 259 runs. This is the fourth best performance by an Indian spinner in a Test innings against New Zealand. This is the best bowling of Washington’s first-class career.

Sajid Khan took 6 wickets alone
The teams of Pakistan and England are facing each other in the third and last test match of the series in Rawalpindi. In the first innings of this test, Pakistan put its spin bowlers on the front from the beginning. Spinners Sajid Khan, Noman Ali and Zahid Mahmood together took all 10 wickets of England. Sajid took 6 wickets for 128 runs in 29.2 overs, while Noman Ali took 3 wickets for 88 runs in 28 overs. One wicket went to the account of Zahid Mahmood.

For the sixth time, Pakistani spinners took 10 wickets in an innings.
England’s first innings collapsed for 267 runs in front of Pakistani spinners. Sajid Khan registered a big record in his/her name in Rawalpindi. This is Sajid’s third best performance by any spinner in Rawalpindi. Earlier, Mushtaq Ahmed had taken 6 wickets for 87 runs against New Zealand in 1996, while in 2022, Noman Ali had taken 6 wickets for 107 runs against Australia. Sajid took 6 wickets for 128 runs. This is the sixth time when Pakistan’s spinners have taken all 10 wickets in an innings. Whereas this has happened for the fourth time against England.
