From press conferences to rallies in every district… know Congress’s plan to corner BJP on Ambedkar issue.

New Delhi: The political controversy regarding Constitution maker Baba Saheb Ambedkar is not showing any signs of stopping. Congress is preparing to launch a nationwide agitation against BJP over the remarks made by Amit Shah. Congress will take out Baba Saheb Ambedkar Samman Yatra across the country on 24th December. Along with this, Congress is organizing an event to mark 100 years of Mahatma Gandhi becoming the Congress President. This event is being held in Belgaum, it is here in the Belgaum convention that Gandhi was elected Congress President.

Targeted at BJP

Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda, while addressing a press conference, said, “Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are not able to handle the shock they have received from the public in the 2024 elections. The ‘dream of crossing 400 and changing the Constitution’ has been banned in the Constitution. The way the people protected it created frustration, if they had come out by mistake then the people of BJP would have apologized. They are making false arguments on that statement of Amit Shah – this shows their real intentions.”

What is Congress’s plan?

he/she told that the Congress Party will hold press conferences in 150 cities of the country on 22 and 23 December to protest against Amit Shah’s insult to Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Through these press conferences we will demand the resignation of Amit Shah. We will also raise our voice against the attacks on Baba Saheb and the Constitution.

Congress will take out Ambedkar Samman Yatra across the country

On December 24, Congress party people will take out ‘Baba Saheb Ambedkar Samman Yatra’ in all the district headquarters, garland his/her statues and submit a memorandum in the name of the President to the District Collector. On December 26, 1924, Mahatma Gandhi became the Congress President in the Congress session held in Belagavi. The direction of the Congress Party and the freedom movement was decided by this convention. This important day is completing 100 years.

There will be an extended CWC meeting on December 26. On December 27, there will be a huge rally in Belagavi itself and the short term and medium term action plan of Congress will be discussed.
