New Delhi. There is an uproar after the Pakistan cricket team lost the Test series against Bangladesh. Former cricketers have opened a front against the board. Everyone is openly targeting the Pakistan Cricket Board. Former cricketer Yasir Arafat has called the PCB a circus and called those running it jokers. Pakistan has to play a Test series against England but the Pakistan Cricket Board is fielding players in the domestic ODI series. Yasir is furious about this and expressed his/her displeasure over the board’s decision.
The Pakistan team needed preparation before the Test series against England but the board has announced the ODI Champions Cup. It is to be played from 12 to 29 September, for which five teams have been formed. Yasir Arafat raised questions about this on his/her YouTube channel. he/she said that when the Pakistan team has to play an important Test series, then why are the players being fielded in any other format. How will the players prepare for the Test series by playing ODI tournaments.
he/she said, “Your Test series against Bangladesh is over. So many flaws have come to the fore. There is the issue of fitness of the players, there are technical issues. Now I heard that Jason Gillespie and the high performance coach are going back to Australia. After that you are organizing a one-day tournament at home. I do not understand this at all. After seeing the decisions that are being taken, Pakistan cricket seems like a circus to me. There are jokes in it, in the same way it is also a joke that you have to play a Test series against England and are going to organize a domestic one-day tournament.”
he/she further said, “On one hand, Shan Masood is saying in the press conference that our players have not played Test or first class cricket for one and a half years. You are going to play a big series with a team like England and are fielding them in ODIs. I think Pakistan cricket is a circus and the people working in it are jokers and whatever decisions they make, they seem like a joke to me.”
