New Delhi: A major accident has occurred near the beach of Goa. A fishing boat collided with an Indian Navy submarine. This accident happened on Thursday evening. Search is on for the two missing crew members since the incident. Indian Navy and Coast Guard are engaged in rescue operations.

There were 13 people on board the fishing boat

This accident occurred 70 nautical miles northwest of Goa. A total of 13 people were aboard the fishing boat Marthoma. Marthoma, an Indian fishing vessel with a crew of 13, collided with an Indian Naval unit about 70 nautical miles northwest of Goa on November 21, an Indian Navy spokesperson said. Eleven people have been rescued. The search for two missing people continues. MRCC in Mumbai is helping in the rescue operations.

Navy orders high level investigation

The Navy has ordered a high-level investigation into this matter. A Navy spokesperson said that Coast Guard teams and ships have been deployed for rescue operations and have been sent to the accident site. The Navy has deployed six ships and several surveillance aircraft in the rescue operation.

Which submarine did the boat collide with?

The fishing boat collided with a Scorpene design submarine. These submarines are an important part of India’s naval strength. They can perform a variety of tasks, such as fighting enemy ships and submarines, gathering intelligence, laying mines and monitoring the area. This submarine is a deadly and accurate weapon due to its stealthy technology and low noise characteristics. The cause of the collision between the submarine and the fishing boat is being investigated. The Indian Navy has not yet released much information about the status of the two missing crew members or the condition of the vessel.

This is not the first time such an incident has happened. In August this year, off the coast of Tamil Nadu, a fishing boat collided with a Sri Lankan Navy vessel and a fisherman was killed.
