First we will try to stay in alliance… Trouble in INDIA before Maharashtra, Jharkhand elections

New Delhi: Before the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections, there are reports of rift within the India Alliance of opposition parties. There is a tussle going on between the parties of India Alliance regarding seat sharing in both the states. Samajwadi Party (SP), which is part of the India alliance in Maharashtra, has suffered a major setback. Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) have announced their candidates for the three seats sought by SP in Maharashtra. This step of both the parties is being considered as a big blow for Akhilesh Yadav. On this, SP national Akhilesh Yadav gave his/her reaction. After Akhilesh Yadav’s statement, SP Maharashtra unit president Abu Asim Azmi also reacted on this matter. Abu Asim Azmi said in a post on social media platform X on Sunday, ‘Samajwadi Party (SP) does not want the division of secular votes in Maharashtra. SP is still waiting for the reply from Mahavikas Aghadi.

Will SP contest elections alone in Maharashtra?

he/she said, ‘National President of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav has said that in Maharashtra, SP will first try its best to contest the elections with the SP alliance. If the alliance does not want to keep SP together, then SP will contest elections from where its organization is strong and will contest elections from where the alliance will not suffer. he/she also said that ‘there is no place for sacrifice in politics.’

Akhilesh Yadav gave clear indications

Akhilesh Yadav had reacted after the announcement of candidates by Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) on the three seats sought by SP in Maharashtra. Answering a question from journalists, he/she said that we are among those who are ignored. The state (Maharashtra) president of Samajwadi Party will decide who will contest the elections from where. First we will try to stay in alliance. But, if they (Maha Vikas Aghadi) will not keep us in the alliance, then we will contest the elections on those seats where we will get votes or where our organization is working. We will contest elections on those seats which will not harm the alliance. But, there is no room for sacrifice in politics.

Tension regarding seats in Jharkhand also

There seems to be a rift in the India alliance in the Jharkhand assembly elections. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has fielded its candidates against the candidates of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), in protest against which Congress leaders have resigned. This incident has become a big challenge for the alliance in areas like Chhatarpur, Bishrampur, Garhwa and Dhanwar. Seat sharing has become a big issue for the India alliance.

RJD has played

Senior Congress leaders have been given the responsibility of convincing the RJD leadership. he/she is in constant touch with the RJD leadership and is trying to resolve the issue. Pressure is being put on RJD to withdraw its candidates before the second phase of nomination process is over. If RJD does not remove its candidates, the Left parties, JMM and Congress may oppose the RJD candidates, which will further weaken the Grand Alliance.
