FIR filed against Stree 2 choreographer Jani Master for sexually assaulting a 21-year-old girl

The Malayalam film industry is upset with the recent Justice Hema Committee report which revealed discrimination and exploitation faced by women. The rest of the film industry is also feeling the impact of the report. Among many bigwigs of Malayalam cinema facing allegations of sexual misconduct, famous dance choreographer Jani, popularly known as Jani Master, has been embroiled in a sexual harassment case. According to news agency PTI, the police said that a woman had filed a complaint against him/her. The complainant had previously worked with Jani. She alleged sexual harassment and misbehavior in her complaint. According to the news agency, the Raidurgam police in Telangana initially registered a zero FIR and then transferred the case to the Narsingi police station on Sunday night.

A well-known personality in Telugu and Tamil cinema, Jani won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for his/her work in ‘Megham Karukkatha’ from ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ (2022), starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. he/she has also been awarded three Filmfare Awards South and three SIIMA Awards and has worked in the Kannada and Hindi film industries. he/she also recently choreographed the song ‘Aai Nahi’ from ‘Stree 2’.
