Fighting and firing over land dispute

Bharatpur. On Sunday morning, half a dozen people from both sides were injured in a dispute over demarcation of fields in village Gangavak of Bharatpur Januthar police station due to fighting with sticks and firing by one side. Out of which, three people from one party were admitted to RBM and three people from the other party were admitted to a private hospital in Alwar for treatment. Januthar police station in-charge Rakesh Sharma has told that on Sunday morning at around 6.30 am, Dayaram son of Govind, Ravi son of Ruggan Gurjar, Ashok Kumar son of Balram Gurjar, residents of Gangavak, went to the house of Jagdish Sharma of the same village regarding the demarcation of the farm in village Gangavak. Jagdish son of Dulichand, Vikas son of Jagdish, Devki’s wife Vikas and Vijay’s wife Jagdish were attacked with sticks and injured.

During this, Vikas Sharma fired from a country-made pistol, whose shrapnel hit the face of Dayaram of the other party and the hands of Ravi and Ashok, injuring them. Injured Dayaram, Ravi and Ashok have been admitted to Alwar for treatment. Whereas Vikas, Jagdish and Devki were referred to RBM Hospital after first aid from Deeg. According to police station in-charge Sharma, in this regard, Jagdish Sharma has alleged in the written statement given to the police that on Sunday morning in village Gangavak, when his daughter-in-law went to put cow dung in the cow, the people of Dayaram Paksha caught her, somehow she escaped. When she reached home and informed us about the incident that happened to her, when we reached home from the fields, more than two dozen people from Dayaram Gurjar side armed with sticks came and attacked our house. In his written statement, he has named 8 people including Dayaram Gurjar and registered a case against 20 others. Whereas no case has been filed by the other party yet.
