New Delhi: The US rejected the ruling BJP’s allegations that American ‘deep state’ elements are behind efforts to destabilize India, following which senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Sunday hit out at the BJP, saying it is ‘aggressive behaviour’. ‘It is a matter of embarrassment for India. Tharoor alleged that BJP neither understands democracy nor diplomacy. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hit back at Tharoor’s statement. he/she said there is no need to behave as if you are on the payroll of George Soros.

Shashi Tharoor had targeted BJP

Posting on X, Shashi Tharoor said, ‘It is clear that BJP neither understands democracy nor diplomacy. They have become so blinded by petty politics that they have forgotten the value of free media and vibrant independent civil institutions in a democracy, and they are unaware of the responsibilities of the ruling party in maintaining good relations with major countries.’ he/she said that this aggressive behavior is a matter of embarrassment for India.

Kiren Rijiju’s counterattack

After this, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hit back at Tharoor’s statement and said, there is no need to behave as if you are on the payroll of George Soros. Democracy and diplomacy are for the interest of the country, not for colluding with foreign elements to harm our country.

America rejected BJP’s allegations

Let us tell you that America on Saturday rejected BJP’s allegations that organizations funded by the US State Department and American ‘deep state’ elements are trying to destabilize India by targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and industrialist Gautam Adani. It is believed that the ‘Deep State’ is an unauthorized secret network established inside the government, bureaucracy, intelligence agencies and other government institutions. A US Embassy spokesperson called the allegations ‘disappointing’ and said the US government has been an advocate for media freedom around the world.

BJP had accused America

The BJP had cited a French media report and said it revealed that OCCRP receives funding from elements involved in US government entities such as George Soros and the Rockefeller Foundation, as well as the US State Department’s USAID. “In fact, 50 percent of OCCRP’s funding comes directly from the US State Department,” the BJP said in a series of posts on Twitter. OCCRP serves as a media tool to advance the agenda of US government agencies.’
