New Delhi. India has selected 3 such players for the 5 test match series against Australia, who have not played a single test match till date. That means he/she will have a chance to start his/her Test career in Australia. One of these three players is Harshit Rana, who is celebrating his/her team selection by performing well in Ranji Trophy. Harshit Rana told after the team selection that this is like a dream come true. Such a dream which he/she and his/her father also saw.
These days Harshit Rana is playing Ranji Trophy match for Delhi. he/she took 5 wickets and also took 5 wickets against Assam. Harshit Rana plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. There is every possibility that KKR may retain him/her for IPL 2025 also.
When asked about the team selection, Harshit Rana said, ‘I came to know about it only when the team was selected and I got a call. However, it was somewhat predictable. Harshit tells Cricinfo that this selection is like a dream come true. he/she told, ‘My father’s dream is that I play against England at Lord’s. But I like Australia more. I am proud that my name has appeared in the team.
Harshit Rana took 3 wickets with the new ball and two wickets with the old ball against Assam. he/she has also indicated to the team management that he/she is capable of taking wickets with both new and old balls. Harshit told that when he/she was with Team India, he/she used to ask Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj as to what length he/she should bowl if he/she gets selected for the Australia tour.
