‘Fateh’ Review: Sonu Sood dominates in action-direction, the horrifying world of cyber crime gives goosebumps

This is not the first time that an actor has taken charge of direction along with acting. From Aamir Khan to Ajay Devgan and recently from Randeep Hooda to Kunal Khemu, there are many actors who have played many responsibilities like direction and acting in their films. Now Sonu Sood’s name has also been added to this list. In the film ‘Fateh’, released on Friday, January 10, Sonu is seen taking up the responsibility of direction along with acting, and there is no hesitation in saying that in this film based on the widespread threat of cyber crime, he/she is seen in both his/her roles. Have tested.

‘Fateh’ Movie Review

As a writer-director, Sonu Sood has taken up a burning topic like cyber mafia and has also tried to warn about its dire danger in the future. he/she has shown how due to the loop holes of mobile phones, innocent people fall into the trap of greed and fall into the clutches of these cyber criminals. The hair-raising first scene of the film completely sets the mood of the action film. But the first half of the film is a bit slow. However the second half is tight.

As director, Sonu Sood takes the audience on an exciting journey through cyber crime, but the dull screenplay and lack of emotional depth makes the story shallow. All the action scenes of the film are praiseworthy, reminiscent of the brutal bloodshed in films like ‘Animal’ and ‘Kill’. Fateh’s character in the film is on the lines of a one man army, which Sonu’s fitness and agility has tried to make credible, but at some places he/she seems over the top.

The dialogues of the film are cheeky. The background score by John Stewart Eddy and Hans Zimmer keeps the tension going. Talking about music, the songs of Arijit Singh and B Praak are decent. The action choreography by ‘Fast and Furious’ fame Lee Whittaker is amazing, although it is not for the faint of heart.

Sonu has done a brilliant job as Fateh. he/she completely aces the action and serious scenes, but the emotional arc of the character seems quite restrained. Jacqueline has done complete justice to her role in the no makeup look. It feels good to see him/her on screen after a long time. Shiv Jyoti Rajput has left a mark in the role of Nimrit.

The role of a strong actor like Naseeruddin Shah should have been given more depth in the film. However, his/her presence makes the film stronger. Despite small roles, Vijay Raaz and Dibyendu Bhattacharya have managed to make an impact. Sheeba and Akashdeep have done a good job in the supporting roles.

Why watch- This film, which highlights the terrifying possibilities of digital fraud, can be watched by action film lovers.
