Fashion designer Ratul Sood passes away while playing golf, brought changes in men’s wear industry in 90’s

Designer Ratul Sood, who made his/her mark in the fashion industry with his/her men’s wear collection, has passed away. he/she breathed his/her last while playing golf on 27 October. It is being told that 56 year old Ratul was playing on the golf course in Tollygunge, South Kolkata and suddenly fell. After which he/she died on the spot. Now ever since the news of the designer’s demise has come to light, there has been a wave of mourning in the fashion industry.

Ratul was a person who won the hearts of people due to his/her amazing creativity and fashion sense. Not only actors but many big stars were crazy about her fashion. Attention was given to people’s preferences, not trends.

One thing is said about Ratul’s clothes that after wearing them, no one felt that these were designer clothes, rather it felt as if he/she was wearing something which Taylor had made especially for him/her. he/she used to give importance to a person’s personal style choice rather than trends. At the same time, he/she also took special care of his/her fabric, hence his/her clothes testified to his/her talent.

Gave desi touch to foreign attire

When Ratul started his/her career in 1990, there was less noise in the industry regarding men’s clothing compared to women’s. Men were seen in formal clothes, but it was not so popular in the industry. But, Ratul brought a new style and became the first designer which was copied in Europe also. In such a situation, he/she gave his/her desi touch to foreign clothes and became famous all over the world. Let us tell you that after Ratul, his/her family now consists of wife Komal and two sons.

Opened a store with his/her wife in Kolkata

Ratul also opened a flagship store with his/her wife Komal in Kolkata. Which was designed in such a way that it gives the vibes of a private club as compared to a showroom. This store, opened exclusively for men, was the first store of its kind in the city. Where Ratul was often seen helping his/her clients in shopping.
