Farmers protest against the government in Madhya Pradesh, Congress will support them in the protest

New Delhi: In Madhya Pradesh, Congress is preparing to take to the streets along with farmers and farmer organizations for the next two months on the issues of farmers. In fact, Congress has decided that the party will fully support the protests being held by farmers and their organizations at various places demanding SSP for soybean. In this, while on one hand farmers are going to protest from villages to cities, on the other hand they have planned to protest in the markets on the issue of SSP.

Will protest from 1 to 7 September

In this regard, Madhya Pradesh President Jeetu Patwari told NBT that the Madhya Pradesh government is not giving the farmers their rightful SSP. The BJP’s double engine government constantly talks about doubling the income of farmers, but when it comes to giving MSP, nothing happens. That is why farmers are agitating. Farmers are demanding MSP of 6000 for soybean, their current agitation is going on regarding this. Farmer organizations have planned to protest their demand across the state from September 1 to September 7, which the Congress is fully supporting. Under this, farmer organizations will go from village to village and make farmers aware of their issue. During this time, they will organize soybean panchayats in villages. It is noteworthy that soybean is an important crop in Madhya Pradesh, soybean is produced on a large scale there.

Campaign run on social media

A campaign was launched by farmers on social media regarding MSP of soybean, which is going to take the form of a movement. Organizations have started soybean panchayat in villages regarding soybean. In this, on one hand, from today till September 7, farmers from all rural areas will give a memorandum to the district administration demanding soybean prices to be Rs 6000 per quintal. On the other hand, in support of this demand, Congress has planned to protest for soybean in all 1086 blocks of the state on September 3. At the same time, between September 8 and September 13, Congress is going to hold three big meetings and agitations in Hoshangabad, Agar Malwa Ujjain and Neemuch-Mandsaur. These agitations will be in the soybean belt of the state. These agitations will be led by Jeetu Patwari. Preparations are being made for the arrival of a large number of farmers from big Congress leaders. Patwari said that we are with the farmers in this fight. Farmers are an important point of the six social justices that our leader Rahul Gandhi has been talking about. It is noteworthy that the farmers of Madhya Pradesh allege that the government is kicking the stomachs of the soybean farmers of the country by importing cheap and low quality oil from foreign countries.
