Security is being increased on all the three borders of Delhi in view of the completion of one year of the farmers’ movement on Friday and the announcement of the march of the farmers on 29 November. Senior officers of Delhi Police have come into action mode and the rounds of meetings have started. Delhi Police can again close the roads by putting iron nails and barricades at Tikri and Ghazipur borders. Preparations for closing the roads have already been started. No need for new committee for MSP guarantee law: Singh
Rashtriya Kisan Morcha has demanded from the central government to get a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The Morcha says that there is no need to form a new committee for the MSP Act. Even after this, if the government forms the committee, then farmer leaders should be included not from one or two provinces, but from every province. National Kisan Morcha convener VM Singh held a press conference on Thursday at the Women’s Press Club.

He said that the demand for enacting a law to guarantee the purchase at MSP of every farmer of the country has been going on for the last 25 years. In the year 2000, the movement for procurement on MSP in Uttar Pradesh started in October. In this, the then Chief Minister Ram Prakash Gupta was removed, in whose place Rajnath Singh was made the Chief Minister. More than 250 km of wheel jam had ended after Rajnath Singh assured the purchase guarantee on the MSP.
