Farah Khan shows a glimpse of the cinema hall where she saw a film for the first time, she spent her childhood here


Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recalled the days when she went to watch a film in a cinema hall for the first time. She shared a video of Juhu’s Lido cinema hall on her Instagram story and told that she came to watch a film here for the first time in her childhood.

In the video, the walls of the Lido cinema hall are adorned with pictures of iconic stars like Dev Anand and Raj Kapoor. he/she wrote, ‘Can’t believe this is Lido cinema, I saw the first film of my life here and spent my childhood here.’

India’s largest movie theatre chain, PVR Inox has given a makeover to Mumbai’s Lido Cinema while maintaining its historic beauty. Looking at Farah’s career, she has choreographed more than 100 songs in more than 80 films in the industry. She first got the opportunity to choreograph the songs of Aamir Khan starrer ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ in 1992, which went straight into the hearts of the audience.

Also won the National Film Award for the song ‘Koi Mil Gaya’

he/she also won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for the song ‘Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala’ from the 2003 Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer film ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.

Debut as a director with Shahrukh’s film

She debuted as a director in 2004 with Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen starrer ‘Main Hoon Na’. After this, she made ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007. Farah tried her hand at comedy with ‘Tees Maar Khan’ in 2010, which did not get much success at the box office. In 2014, she made ‘Happy New Year’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, which earned well.

She also tried her luck as an actress

Farah also tried her luck as an actress in ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sister Bela Bhansali in 2012. Boman Irani was opposite her in this film.
