In which a polling agent is seen roaming in the polling booth and going to a woman who is casting her vote. Now this video is being shared by calling it rigging during the Lok Sabha elections. When BOOM started investigating this video, it turned out that this video was from the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This video was from Faridabad. When a polling agent was arrested on charges of influencing voters.

How the truth came out in the investigation

When BOOM started investigating this video, their team did a reverse image search of the key frames of the viral video on Google with the help of Invid tool. After which they found a video uploaded on Hindustan Times and Amar Ujala in May 2019. Amar Ujala’s report said that he/she was accused of influencing voters during the sixth phase of voting in Faridabad, Haryana. After which he/she has been arrested.

When this video went viral in 2019, the then Chief Election Officer of Haryana had replied to it and ordered action.

Faridabad District Election Officer also replied to this reply and wrote- The person seen in the video is a polling agent against whom an FIR has been lodged and he/she has been arrested. he/she had tried to influence at least 3 female voters.
