Fact Check: Was the rally held in Bangladesh waving weapons to scare Hindus? know the truth

Recently a video is being shared widely on social media. While sharing this video it was claimed that terrorists took out a rally against Hindus in Bangladesh. However, during Sajjag’s investigation, the claim made regarding the video turned out to be false.

What are the claims of the users?

An ex handle on social media @bloody_media posted a video and picture claiming that a rally of terrorists against Hindus took place in Bangladesh. In which Sheikh Nasser Billah Al Makki is seen with weapons with the Islamists. Save Bangladeshi Hindus.

Apart from this, another X user @joydas1844417 posted the video and wrote – Islamic terrorists are roaming openly on the highway with machine guns. What was found in the investigation?

When Sajjag’s team investigated this viral video, the truth came out to be something else. First of all, Sajjag’s team checked the picture along with the viral video through reverse image on Google and then the team found a YouTube video. In which it was claimed that this is a picture of a rally held two days ago.

According to the video report, the video that went viral on social media is of Syed Sheikh Nasser Billah Al Makki, a citizen of Saudi Arabia, the 43rd descendant of the Prophet (PBUH). he/she had attended an Islamic conference held at a local madrassa in Shahzadpur sub-district of Sirajganj district of Bangladesh last Friday (December 13). When he/she reached Sirajganj district, the people there took him/her on a horse with a guard of honor to the meeting place. A part of the same is being shared on social media with false claims.

It was claimed in the viral video that it was an anti-Hindu rally, whereas in reality it was not. Along with this, a person is seen with a gun in this video. When Sajjag’s team started searching for information about that weapon. peace bridge A report was found on the website named. According to which the weapon seen in the video is not a deadly weapon, rather it is a toy gun. Which was recovered by Shahzadpur police from the person on Saturday.

Shahzadpur Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Kamruzzaman said that the name of the person seen carrying a gun is Naeemul Islam. he/she told the police that his/her sister had purchased this plastic gun from Awalde Rasool shortly before his/her arrival. he/she had come with him/her to meet Awalada Rasool. To prevent the gun from breaking in the crowd, he/she had lifted it up and people recorded it on their mobiles.
