Many videos of which are going viral on social media. Meanwhile, a video is being shared on social media. While sharing this, users are claiming that Suleiman Hilal, brother of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, was hanged from a crane at the intersection. However, after investigation by Sajjag, this claim being made on social media has turned out to be fake.

What did the users claim?

On social media, an ex-user @nshuklain has posted a video of a man hanging from a crane. While posting the video, the user wrote – Suleiman Hilal al-Assad, brother of Bashar al-Assad, was killed at the intersection of Latakia, will this be considered lynching? But here there is no RSS, Bajrang Dal etc. or any Hindu.

Another user @Shiva01504965 also posted a video claiming that Suleiman Hilal al-Assad was hanged publicly in Syria. Suleiman was the cousin brother of Basar al-Assad.

The truth came out in the investigation

When Sajjag’s team fact checked the video, the truth of all the claims came to light. First of all, Sajjag’s team extracted the keyframes of the video. After that, the picture of the person shown in it was checked through reverse image and a lot of X-posts were found. Claims were also made in them that Bashar Assad’s brother was hanged publicly.

However, when Sajjag’s team proceeded with their investigation, they found a Facebook profile. In which, like this video, a person was being hanged through a crane. This Video A young man, ‘Mohammed Ziad al-Hajj Ali’, was publicly executed in a public square in the town of Kharba Ghazalah in the eastern Daraa countryside for the murder of a man named ‘Amr al-Saad,’ the post read. .

conclusion: The claim on social media that the brother of the former Syrian President was hanged at the intersection turned out to be false. In Sajjak’s investigation, the man was not Bashar al-Assad’s brother. The name of that person is Mohammad Ziyad Al-Hajj Ali.
