Users are sharing these pictures and claiming that these pictures of Ronaldo are from Mecca. Users are sharing these photos considering them to be real. Vishvas News in its investigation found that the viral claim is false. The viral pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo are not real, but have been created with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Some users have shared it with false claims considering it to be genuine.

Facebook User ‘Kaif Khan’ (archive link) while sharing this collage on December 20, 2024, wrote, ‘Mashallah Ronaldo’s very beautiful face has come from Mecca…’

another one like this instagram user dilshad_khan_chandeni has also shared these pictures. The pictures shared on December 19, 2024 claimed, ‘Mashallah Cristiano Ronaldo [ रोनाल्डो] A very beautiful picture has emerged from Mecca.

To investigate the viral claim, Vishvas News first searched with related keywords. No credible news report related to the viral claim was found. While carrying forward the investigation, looked at the photographs carefully. The lighting and colors in these photographs do not appear to be the same everywhere, which is usually not the case in real photographs. Ronaldo’s 6 fingers are visible in one photo, which clearly shows that these photos are AI created. This picture was searched with the help of multimedia detection tools made with the help of AI. Also searched the photos with the help of hive moderation. In this tool, the probability of the photo being created by AI was said to be 93.6 percent.

The second picture present in the collage was searched with the help of decopy.ai tool. In this tool, the picture is said to be 99.9 percent AI generated.

The viral post was sent to Azhar Machwe, a researcher working in AI and emerging technology. he/she has described the pictures as AI generated. he/she said that the lighting in the pictures is not correct and the shape of the hands is also strange. From which it is clear that these pictures have been made with the use of AI.
Finally, we scanned the profile of the user who shared the post. It was found that 13 thousand people follow the user on Facebook. The user has declared himself to be from Rajasthan, Bhiwandi.
