While sharing a video on his/her account, an ex-user @SaffronSunanda wrote – JNU is ahead of its time and makes its name meaningful. It is written above this video, Promising graduate of JNU!

This video has been shared by not one but many users on social media. Everyone is saying that this video is from JNU. However, when this video was investigated, the truth came out to be different.

What did the investigation reveal?

In Sajjak’s fact check, the claim of this video being from JNU was completely false. When reverse search was done by extracting the key frames of this video, many people Video Found who were two years old. In such a situation, it has been proved that this video is not recent, it is a two year old video. After that, when I looked at the banner behind this video, it became clear that this video is not of JNU but of the Diwali fair of Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar.

Found not just one but many videos

When the investigation was taken further, a video was also found on YouTube which was shared two years ago. The same banner is visible in that also. Along with this, the same is also posted on the Instagram account named gju_trolls. Video Found which was shared on 22 October 2022. In this also the name of the university can be clearly read on the poster.

Sajjag’s team took its investigation forward and started scanning the website of Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar. A PDF gallery of Diwali Mela 2022-23 was found there. Some photographs of that fair were found in it. Among those pictures, one picture was of this stage. The same banner is visible in it and the stage is also the same.
