Fact Check: Sonakshi Sinha met Rehan Siddiqui, banned for terror funding, but one claim is wrong

What is the claim?

➤ It is claimed that Rehan Siddiqui has funded anti-India terrorist activities with his/her earnings.
➤ Government of India has put Rehan Siddiqui in the blacklisted list for terror funding.
➤ Claim that there is a ban on entry into India. he/she is also banned from entering America.
➤ Still Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have met Rehaan.

What is the truth?

First of all we investigated the claim of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal meeting Rehan Siddiqui and found that it was true. On the Facebook page of Rehan Siddiqui, we found the same picture which has been shared in the previous post. Rehan has written with this picture, ‘Thank you to Dhanani Investment for this honour. Proud to present Sonya Hussain at this most exclusive event and it was great to see Sonakshi and Zaheer. Thank you for giving so much love and respect to Nick Dhanani.

Two Indians also blacklisted along with Rehan

Then we investigated whether Rehan Siddiqui has really been banned by India? In this investigation we found many reports which confirmed this claim. ndtv A news dated July 23, 2020 was received in which it is said that the Government of India has banned the entry of Rehan Siddiqui as well as two people of Indian origin into India. The news said, ‘A Pakistani and two people of Indian origin living in America have been blacklisted by the government for their alleged anti-India activities. This step has been taken after Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah about the alleged anti-India activities of US-based Pakistanis Rehan Siddiqui and Rakesh Kaushal and Darshan Mehta. After being blacklisted, all three will not be able to travel to India. In a letter to Shewale, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said that following his/her complaint, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has investigated the issue.

Satinder Sartaj’s concert was canceled in 2022

Then on July 15, 2022 India Today The news also confirms Rehan Siddiqui’s claim of being blacklisted in India. The news said, ‘Indian singer and actor Satinder Sartaj’s live concert to be held in Houston, USA on April 17 has been cancelled. Rajya Sabha MP KL Meena had written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding immediate action to stop the concert organized by alleged ISI agent Rehan Siddiqui. Rehan Siddiqui was blacklisted in 2020 on the recommendations of the Consulate General of India in Houston. This step has been taken after Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah informing them about the alleged anti-India activities of Rehan Siddiqui.

When we wanted to know whether America has also banned Rehan Siddiqui? During this investigation we did not find any such news. Then we asked both Gemeni and ChatGP whether Rehan Siddiqui is banned from entering America? Both of them told that America has not banned it, but the Indian government has definitely banned its entry.
