While sharing the picture of Rs 5000 note on social media, a user named @PANDITVIVEKj wrote – RBI is going to issue new notes of Rs 5000 soon. Ever since information about this news has been received, discussions have increased among the people.

An Instagram user Dainik Rajeev Times has also shared the picture of this Rs 5000 note.

What is the truth of this note?

When Sajag’s team investigated the picture of Rs 5000 note going viral on social media, it was found to be fake. Sajjag’s team first started searching for reports related to such notes on Google but nothing was found there. After that, Sajjag’s team started searching the information related to this note on the RBI website. However, there too no notification was issued regarding this note.

After digging through some reports, a post was found on the X handle of @PIBFactCheck. In which it was told that Fake News Alert! It is being claimed on social media that RBI is bringing new notes of ₹ 5000. This news is absolutely wrong. PIBFactCheck has confirmed this.
conclusion: The picture of Rs 5000 note going viral on social media is fake. RBI has no plans to issue such notes. During Sajag’s investigation, the viral claim was found to be fake.
