Fact Check: Old video of Delhi Police viral with misleading claim, truth in investigation


New Delhi: On March 14, the festival of Holi was celebrated across the country and the prayers of Zuma were also read. It is being claimed with the video that the people who were offering prayers on the road were removed by the police misbehaving, but the police did nothing on the mosque in Aligarh. To know the truth of this video that is going viral on social media, we searched it with the help of Google lens. In the search, we found an old tweet from AIMIM President and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi, which has screenshots of the same video, which is currently viral on social media.

In the search, we found links to some news, in which it is said that the case is from Delhi and the incident is from March 2024. The accused policeman in the case was suspended.
