During menstruation, women often face problems like pain, bloating and clotting. To get rid of these problems, it is important to seek medical advice. Home remedies can also be tried. Drinking ghee mixed in hot water is one such solution, it has been claimed to be effective in a clip on Instagram.
But using these remedies without checking them can also be fatal. Therefore, the Vigilant Fact Check team has talked to experts. The doctor has not accepted this claim as correct. They have refused to consider it as an alternative solution during menstruation.

In the Instagram clip, it is advised to try the solution of ghee and hot water on the first day of menstruation. It is claimed that it does not cause pain, clots, gas, constipation and acidity. It has also been claimed that this remedy can eliminate the problem of PCOD.

This claim is considered a myth. he/she believes that there is no scientific evidence related to this claim. This pain increases due to prostaglandins and is caused by uterine contractions. Due to this contraction, the lining of the uterus gets removed and clots are formed along with pain. Despite being nutritious, ghee does not affect this biological process.

Causes of menstrual pain

Hormonal fluctuations and uterine contractions cause pain and clot formation. It depends on some specific factors, such as-
