Fact Check: Did Hindu priests apply tilak to Sheikh Hasina? You will be shocked to know the truth of the viral photo

New Delhi: A picture of former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina is going viral on social media. In this picture some Hindu priests dressed in saffron clothes are applying tilak on his/her forehead. Although in the picture going viral on social media, clear photos of all the priests are visible but that of Sheikh Hasina is visible blurred. When Sajjag’s team fact checked this photo, it was found to be edited.

While sharing the picture of Sheikh Hasina on social media, Facebook user Akter Hossain claimed that Sheikh Hasina is getting tilak applied by the priests.


However, when this viral picture was investigated by the alert team, it was found to be edited. Actually, when Sajjag’s team checked this picture in reverse image, it found a tweet from Congress’s X handle. In which everything was like the viral picture but there was Rahul Gandhi instead of Sheikh Hasina.

When Sajjag’s team simply checked Sheikh Hasina’s photo through reverse image, they found the real picture of Sheikh Hasina. Which he/she got clicked after his/her meeting with PM Modi.

conclusion: The claim of Hindu priests applying tilak to Sheikh Hasina turned out to be false. During Sajjak’s investigation, the viral picture was found to be edited. In the real picture, Rahul Gandhi was standing in place of Sheikh Hasina.
