Fact Check: Claim of extinguishing fire with helicopter during Jaipur accident goes viral, turned out to be false after investigation by Sajag


New Delhi: Many videos of the road accident that took place in Bhankrota, Jaipur are going viral on social media. However, only a few of them are genuine while many of the videos are old. Today we are going to fact check one such video. It is being claimed that after the blast in Bhankrota, Jaipur, the fire was extinguished by helicopter. Let’s know the truth of this viral video

What are the claims of the users?

A user named TRTEDITOR has shared a video on Instagram. In which a helicopter is seen extinguishing the fire. While sharing the video, the user has described it as Jaipur accident.

Another Instagram user mcsonju1 also shared the same video and wrote – Fire broke out in Jaipur.

Is the viral video from Jaipur?

This video of fire extinguishing by helicopter was shared by many users on social media. When Sajjag’s team investigated the viral video, it was not found to be from Jaipur. First of all, when we searched by extracting the key frames of the viral video, we found many other videos. In which it was claimed that this video is from after the Jaipur accident.

After that, Sajjag’s team found a post dated November 7, 2024 on the X handle named @TheSecretFF999. In which it was told that this video is of extinguishing the fire in Malibu near Pepperdine University of California.

After that the alert team abc7 A report was received. In which it was told that at least two houses were damaged due to a rapidly burning bush fire along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Wednesday.

conclusion: This video of helicopter extinguishing fire has no connection with Jaipur fire accident. In Sajjak’s investigation, this video is from California. A false claim has been made while sharing this video.
