To know the truth we Spoke to Dr. Chetna Jain, Director Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cloudnine Group of Hospitals, Gurugram. The doctor clearly rejected the above claims and termed them as myths. The doctor said- ‘The claim that drinking ghee in hot water can cure period pain and PCOD is wrong.

According to the doctor, there are different reasons for excessive pain during periods. If you drink ghee to deal with these, nothing will happen. Ghee has some Ayurvedic properties of its own, which can have its own benefits. But consuming too much ghee can increase your weight and increase hormonal disturbances.
