In which women are seen sitting in a queue. This video is being shared on social media with the claim that these women are sitting in line to get Rs 8,500 under the scheme announced by Rahul Gandhi. However, this claim is false and this video is old.

What was found in the investigation of the video?

When the Newschecker team investigated this video, they saw that the women were sitting in a circle at a certain distance. Now such a rule was in place during the time of Corona, so their team suspected that this video cannot be recent. When they investigated the truth of this video, they found this video uploaded on 17 April 2020 on the B News YouTube channel. After which it became clear that this video is not recent. While posting this video, the caption given was – Line of Muslim women in Gandhi Colony of Muzaffarnagar. Bank of Baroda is seen at the beginning of the video. Along with this, Muzaffarnagar is written at many places in the video.

After this, the team of Newschecker searched the related words on Google. After which they found a video on News 18. Report In which it was told that this is about the crowd gathered outside the Bank of Baroda in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where people reached to withdraw money from their Jan Dhan accounts. It is told that this crowd gathered in front of the bank after a rumor spread among the people. The rumor spread that if people do not withdraw the 500 rupees deposited in their Jan Dhan accounts, the government will take it back.

conclusion: In Newschecker’s investigation, this video turned out to be four years old. Congress has not won the elections this time, so it is being shared for propaganda.
