Fact Check: Amul’s bill board goes viral taking a jibe at Congress for dynasty politics, Saajga’s investigation found the picture to be fake


New Delhi: Amul’s billboard is going viral on social media. In which cartoons of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are seen. While sharing the picture of this billboard, users claimed that Amul has targeted the Congress family.

What are the claims of the users?

An X user named @ExSecular has shared the picture of this bill board on social media. On which it is written, Nana ate, Grandma ate, Papa ate, Mummy ate, come sister, you also eat, call brother-in-law here too.

What is the truth of this picture?

When Sajjag’s team investigated the viral picture, it was found that a similar claim had already gone viral.

After that, Sajjag’s team checked the viral picture through reverse image and found an X-post of Amul. Which was shared on 24 January 2019.

The cartoon of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi in Amul’s post and the viral picture is exactly the same. However, everything that is in the viral picture is not written in Amul’s ex-post.

After that, Sajjag’s team found an ex-post of Amul Care dismissing the viral picture. In that the company had told that this viral picture is fake.
conclusion: The picture of Amul company’s bill board going viral on social media is fake. In Sajjak’s investigation, the company had declared this photo to be fake in the year 2019 itself.
