Exit poll failed… Axis My India CEO Pradeep Gupta started crying in the middle of the show


New Delhi : Exit polls have completely failed in the Lok Sabha elections. The results of the Lok Sabha elections have negated the exit polls. Almost all exit polls had predicted more than 350 seats for the BJP. In the actual results, the BJP does not even seem to get a majority on its own. MD Pradeep Gupta of exit poll agency Axis My India had predicted that the BJP would win more than 400 seats. Pradeep Gupta started crying in the middle of the show when the election results were announced. Pradeep Gupta was explaining in the live show where the exit poll went wrong. he/she apologized for the wrong prediction but started crying in the end.

There was also a lot of criticism on social media

Earlier, Pradeep Gupta was trolled a lot on social media regarding the exit polls. A day before the results, Pradeep had said that 65 out of our 69 exit polls were correct. he/she also took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for calling the exit polls ‘Modi Media Poll’ and ‘Fantasy Poll’. Pradeep Gupta had said that this is like sour grapes.

Rahul is not seen as a brand

Pradeep Gupta had said that ‘Rahul Gandhi or Congress has contested the elections for India alliance. Regional parties have contested elections in different regions like in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, regional parties have contested the elections. Rahul Gandhi is not seen as a brand, in Karnataka, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh where Congress is in power, Congress voters do not vote in the name of Rahul Gandhi, rather the Congress government there asks for votes on the basis of facilities and arrangements and the local people vote on this.

Axis My India’s exit poll had predicted that NDA would get 361-401 seats. Gupta’s exit poll had predicted that the ‘India’ alliance would have to be satisfied with 131-166 seats. When the election results came, the picture was completely opposite. BJP seems to be far from the majority figure on its own.
