Exclusive Interview: Nobody pays attention to net bowlers, Ashwin tells the truth

Indian cricket team’s star spinner R Ashwin is known as a hardworking cricketer. Whenever he/she gets a chance, he/she goes to play in some tournament or the other. his/her habit of continuous learning has brought him/her to this position. In a special conversation with senior journalist Vimal Kumar, R Ashwin told how he/she started as a net bowler. Ashwin also bowled to Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a net bowler. he/she wrote his/her experience in a book to teach today’s youth.

Ashwin said, people should know that if they have come as a net bowler, it is a great experience. Many players want to become a net bowler but I see that they do not have any excitement about it. That is why I wrote in the book. Keep your desire a little high. I have told why it is necessary to do this.

International players do not pay attention to net bowlers

he/she further said, if you want to play international cricket or IPL then you have to elevate yourself. No international player who comes to play in the nets pays attention to this. he/she does not think about what kind of ball the net bowler is bowling. How can we improve them, no one has that much time.
Just imagine that I am going to play an international cricket match. Wherever it is in the world, I am going to play. My first intention will be to bowl in the nets, improve my skills and what is my plan for the match. My entire focus will be on how my preparation will be better for the match, there will be no focus on any net bowler.

Dhoni remembers everything

As a kid, I thought that I am going to bowl, impress someone and get a chance. This happens very rarely, that is why I wrote this experience in the book. If someone has a dream of becoming a net bowler, leave it and find a way to move forward. I shared this experience. What is the use of talking about this with Chris Gayle and MS Dhoni, what should I say that I did net bowling for you, but MS must remember, MS remembers 100%, his/her brain is very sharp. I am not saying everything but he/she remembers it.
