Even today our mission is the same… Rahul Gandhi said on the second anniversary of Bharat Jodo Yatra- got to learn a lot

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha on the second anniversary of Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra Rahul Gandhi Rahul Gandhi said that this journey proved that Indians are naturally loving people. he/she said that our mission was to make the sound of love heard in every corner of the country. Rahul Gandhi tweeted on X that Bharat Jodo Yatra taught me the beauty of silence. Amidst the cheers and slogans of the crowd, I discovered the power of tuning out the noise and focusing completely on the person next to me. In those 145 days and the two years that followed, I have listened to thousands of Indians from diverse backgrounds. Each voice had wisdom that taught me something new and each has represented our beloved Bharat Mata. he/she said that the journey proved that Indians are naturally loving people.

Bharat Jodo Yatra was started on 7 September 2022

he/she further wrote that when I started this journey I said that love will conquer hate and hope will defeat fear, today our mission is the same – to ensure that the voice of Bharat Mata, the voice of love is heard in every corner of our beloved country. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi started the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari on September 7, 2022. This ambitious journey of 145 days concluded in Srinagar on January 30, 2023. During this journey, Rahul Gandhi addressed 12 public meetings, more than 100 street meetings and 13 press conferences. he/she held more than 275 planned walking talks and more than 100 meetings. By covering a distance of more than 4,000 kilometers, Rahul Gandhi attracted the attention of his/her supporters and critics.

These giants participated in Bharat Jodo Yatra

The yatra was attended by people from various fields, including film and TV personalities like Kamal Haasan, Pooja Bhatt, Riya Sen, Swara Bhaskar, Rashami Desai, Akanksha Puri and Amol Palekar. Besides, authors and military veterans, including former Army Chief Gen (Retd) Deepak Kapoor and former Navy Chief Admiral (Retd) L Ramdas, and eminent personalities like former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and former Finance Secretary Arvind Mayaram also joined the yatra. Opposition leaders like Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule, National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, People’s Democratic Party’s Mehbooba Mufti, Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) leaders Aditya Thackeray, Priyanka Chaturvedi and Sanjay Raut also walked alongside Rahul Gandhi during the yatra.
