Even CWC did not call a condolence meeting on Baba’s demise… Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter expressed her pain, told Congress fiercely.

New Delhi: Former President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee has raised questions on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s proposal in which he/she had asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a separate memorial for former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Dr. Manmohan Singh died at AIIMS, Delhi on Thursday night at the age of 92. Sharmistha Mukherjee, in a statement on X, claimed that when her father and former President died in August 2020, Congress leaders did not even bother to call a condolence meeting of the CWC. he/she had also accused the Congress leadership at that time of misleading him/her on this issue.

Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter expressed displeasure

According to Sharmistha, a senior Congress leader had told her that this does not happen for Indian Presidents. Terming this argument as ‘nonsense’, Sharmistha claimed that she learned from her father’s diary that former President K.R. A CWC meeting was called on Narayanan’s death and the condolence message was written by Pranab Mukherjee himself. Sharmistha C.R. Also cited was a post by Kesavan, in which it was told how Congress ignored those leaders who were not from the Gandhi family.

‘No memorial was built for PV Narasimha Rao’

In the same matter, a chapter of the book of Dr. Sanjay Baru, former media advisor to Manmohan Singh and author of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, was also mentioned, in which it was told how the Congress had done justice to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, who died in 2004. No memorial was built for him/her in Delhi. It was also written in the book that despite being in power from 2004 to 2014, Congress did not build a memorial for Rao. Baru had also claimed that Congress wanted Rao’s last rites to be performed not in Delhi but in his/her hometown Hyderabad.

This entire controversy started when after the death of Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi demanding a separate memorial for him/her.
