IIT Placement with High Salary Package: A student of IIT Madras has got an annual salary package of Rs 4.3 crore. This offer has been given by Wall Street trading firm Jane Street. This offer has set a new benchmark in the IIT placement season 2025. This offer includes base salary, fixed bonus and relocation benefits. The high-frequency trading firm made this pre-placement offer (PPO) to a Computer Science and Engineering student from IIT Madras, who had previously interned with them. According to the ET report, two placement sources said that the selected candidate Will work as a quantitative trader in Hong Kong. Many firms have offered big packages in the old IIT campus. BlackRock, Glean and Da Vinci have offered packages worth more than Rs 2 crore. APT Portfolio and Rubrik have offered packages worth more than Rs 1.4 crore. While Databricks, Ebullient Securities and IMC Trading have offered packages worth more than Rs 1.3 crore. The company has not responded to this.

These companies also have big packages in IIT

The package for Quadi is around Rs 1 crore. Quantbox and Graviton have offered packages worth Rs 90 lakh. Rest of the offers include DE Shaw (Rs 66-70 lakh), Pace Stock Broking (Rs 75 lakh), SquarePoint Capital (above Rs 66 lakh), Microsoft (above Rs 50 lakh) and Cohesity (Rs 40 lakh). These figures may vary in different institutions. Companies may make offers for different roles in different IIT campuses.

Showed improvement compared to last year

Recruiters on the first day at IIT campuses like Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Kanpur, Roorkee, Kharagpur, Guwahati and BHU included Qualcomm, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric, Alphonso and Nutanix. However, these big initial offers do not reflect the success of the entire placement. But the current situation looks more positive than last year.
