English player Ben Stokes’ big statement, said- If I am not taken in the team then…


New Delhi. England’s Test team captain Ben Stokes has said that after Brendan McCullum became the coach of the Test as well as limited overs cricket team, he/she is ready to return to ODI and T20 International cricket. Ben has also said that he/she wants to play limited overs cricket.

Stokes told Sky Sports during the third ODI against Australia, “If I am asked if I want to play, my answer will definitely be yes. Our white ball teams have taken a new direction. We have seen some incredible talents emerge like Jacob Bethell, who I think is going to be a superstar.”

Stokes said, “I have played many limited overs matches for England and I am very happy and satisfied with what I have achieved in these formats of the game. I will not be disappointed if I am not included in the team. I can sit back and enjoy the matches.”

Stokes played match-winning innings for England in the finals of the ODI World Cup in 2019 and the T20 World Cup in 2022. he/she returned from retirement to participate in the ODI World Cup played in India last year, but England’s performance in this tournament was not good. Due to fitness issues, he/she did not play in the T20 World Cup in June this year in which England reached the semi-finals.
