Since egg comes from hen, the question always arises whether egg is vegetarian or non-vegetarian? Many vegetarian people do not eat eggs because they do not know the correct answer to this question. India’s famous dietitian Bhavesh Gupta Has answered this.

Egg Veg or Non Veg?

Bhavesh told that scientifically, eating eggs is more vegetarian than drinking milk. There are two types of eggs: fertilized and unfertilized. People think that eggs contain chicks, but there is a big difference between edible eggs and eggs that produce chicks.

What are fertilized and unfertilized eggs?

What are fertilized and unfertilized eggs?

For the egg to be fertilized, the union of the hen and the cock is necessary. If this happens, the eggs the hen lays are fertilized. Similarly, if a hen has not mated with a cock and she lays eggs, then those eggs are unfertilized. Neither fertilized eggs nor unfertilized eggs hatch into chicks. To produce a chick, a hen must mate with a cock.

In farms where egg-laying hens are reared, they keep the hens away so that the process of fertilization is not completed. To become a chick inside the egg, the fertilized egg must develop into an embryo, which can happen only under special circumstances.

What do blood stains on eggs mean?

What do blood stains on eggs mean?

Sometimes people see blood stains inside the eggs, and they think it is the blood of the chick that was about to be born. But these blood spots, also known as meat spots, do not mean that the egg is fertilized. This happens when the egg yolk forms and a blood vessel in the hen bursts, causing a blood stain. If you next find a blood stain on your egg, you shouldn’t feel bad about killing someone because you didn’t.

Eggs are also vegetarian like milk

Bhavesh told that not everything that comes from animals is non-vegetarian, the best example of this is milk. Similarly, eggs also come from chickens but they are not non-vegetarian. Science says anything but in this matter the choice is yours as to what to eat and what not.
