ED raids Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s house and office, trouble increases in pornography case


ED has raided the houses and offices of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. ED has raided the couple’s house in connection with the money laundering investigation related to creating and selling obscene content through mobile applications. The ED investigation is based on a 2021 Mumbai Police case. Raj Kundra was earlier arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch in July 2021. Later the court granted him/her bail. Raj Kundra had denied all the allegations against him/her in the case. Earlier this year, Raj Kundra was caught in the ED’s net when a flat in Juhu, Mumbai, a bungalow in Pune and Rs 98 crore were seized as part of the money laundering investigation. his/her assets were confiscated, including equity shares worth Rs.

When did the legal trouble start?

The duo’s legal troubles came after the ED started investigating Amit Bhardwaj for his/her involvement in a Ponzi scheme in 2018. While Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were initially seen as suspects. Both Raj and Shilpa maintained their innocence and claimed that they had fully cooperated in the ED investigation. Raj attended many summons and Shilpa also showed all the papers.

Husband and wife challenged

Later, Raj and Shilpa challenged the ED notice to vacate their properties, including their Mumbai home in Juhu and a farmhouse near Pune. The Bombay High Court had given them interim relief by staying the eviction order.

When was Raj Kundra arrested?

Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police in July 2021 after four women complained that they were forced to shoot obscene content after promising them acting work in a web series. he/she was released from Arthur Jail in September.
