Earthquake may occur in England cricket! Players angry with ECB’s decision, Noc became an issue, know what is the whole matter?

New Delhi. ‘England’s 50 leading players’ may boycott next year’s The Hundred competition against the new No Objection Certificate (NOC) policy of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Players need NOC from the board to participate in franchise tournaments. But the Cricket Board is now going to make some changes in this rule.

According to ‘The Telegraph’ report, the ECB decided last week that they will not issue NOCs for tournaments whose dates clash with their domestic season. However, exemption will be given to those players who have contracts for only limited overs cricket with their county teams.

According to the report, “Indian Premier League has not been included in this list of foreign leagues required for NOC, whereas Pakistan Super League is named in it.” It is believed that NOC will not be issued to players for any competition coinciding with the dates of Vitality Blast or The Hundred. The report claims that ‘a group of 50 leading England cricketers’ are considering boycotting The Hundred. However, it is not clear whether any player from the team touring New Zealand is included in this group or not.

The report said, “Next year, the leagues likely to clash with the domestic season also include Major League Cricket (America), Canada’s Global T20 League, Lanka Premier League and Caribbean Premier League. This list is likely to increase further.” The ECB’s stance on the matter has forced the players to hold several rounds of discussions with the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) this week. The players met the body members on Monday and then their representatives had a meeting with the officials on Wednesday.
