Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Chamba and Sirmaur districts along with Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti have received heavy snowfall. However, despite bad weather and dangerous road conditions on the way to these snow-laden hill stations, tourists have not stopped coming here. According to news agency PTI, room booking in Shimla is at 70 per cent, which is more than 30 per cent compared to last December.

Around 223 roads, including the national highway between Attari and Leh, Sanj to Aut in Kullu district and Khab Sangam in Kinnaur district and Gramphu in Lahaul and Spiti district, were closed for traffic, PTI reported on Tuesday. Let us tell you, on Monday, the State Disaster Management Team rescued tourists traveling in about 500 vehicles trapped in the Atal Tunnel. At least four people have died and several have been injured after several vehicles slipped off the road in the last 24 hours.
