DU News: Seats vacant in 18 colleges of Delhi University, admission will be done on 12th class marks from today

Delhi University Open Admission 2024: The vacant seats for undergraduate courses in 18 colleges in Delhi University will be filled in another mop-up round from today. The admission branch of DU has released the details of vacant seats on its website admission.uod.ac.in. Of the 18, 10 are women’s colleges. While one is Delhi School of Journalism. Most of the seats are for science courses including Hindi Honors, Sanskrit Honors, Home Science. Reserve category seats are vacant in most of the colleges.

Admission in DU on 12th marks

Despite five rounds of admission in these colleges of DU, seats in many courses have not been filled. There are many vacant seats in these colleges, in which students can take admission on the basis of 12th score instead of Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Admission will be on the basis of merit.

Admissions will be held from 16th to 18th October. Students will be able to pay fees till October 19. The admission branch says that there will be no admissions after this round. Students who have appeared in the earlier mop-up rounds will not get a chance for admission in this round.

In Aditi College, 22 seats are vacant in B.Com Honors and 28 seats are vacant in Hindi Journalism. In Bhagini Nivedita College, 41 seats for Hindi, 39 for Physics Honors and 56 for B.Com are vacant. In Bharti College, 45 seats for Hindi Honors, 64 for Sanskrit and 14 for Maths Honors are vacant. In Institute of Home Economics, 131 seats of B.Sc Home Science and 31 seats of B.Sc Honors Home Science are vacant. In most of the colleges, seats are vacant for science courses including Hindi Honors, Home Science, Sanskrit Honors.
