DU Mid Entry 2024: Another chance to get admission in Delhi University, know what is Mid Entry Scheme

More than 72,350 admissions have been done in Delhi University. If for any reason a student is left behind in this admission race due to not registering, then DU will give him/her another chance. By giving the option of ‘mid entry’, DU has given an opportunity to apply for the remaining seats from 7 September to 9 September to those students who could not complete their registration for the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). These students can join the seat allocation system by paying a mid entry fee of one thousand rupees, so that they can get a seat in the next round. The mid entry window will be open from 5 pm on 7 September to 4:59 pm on 9 September.

On the other hand, more than 72 thousand admissions have been done in DU colleges on 71,600 seats. However, the university had already done admissions on 25 thousand additional seats in the first round with the aim of maximum admissions, in which there has been over admission in many popular courses. There are still many colleges and many courses where seats are vacant and students will also get a chance in the next round.

DU Admission: Seat confirmed by 15 September

On September 11, DU will release the allotment list for the third round. Accordingly, the students who will be allotted seats will have to accept the seat by September 13. By September 14, the colleges will have to check all the applications and approve the admission. The students will confirm their seats by paying the fees by September 15.

Delhi University: How to change college/course?

In the second round, 27,144 students have applied for ‘upgrade’. That means they want another college or course in the next round. These students will now get a chance to move their course-college preference order up or down according to the vacant seats. They can change only those preferences which they had placed above the course-college they got in the second round. They cannot delete or add any preference. The upgrade window will be open from 5 pm on August 31 to 4:59 pm on September 1. The upgraded allotment will be announced on September 3.

Performance course, quota seat list on 3rd

The first round of seats for performance-based courses like music, fine arts, ECA, sports, ward quota, CW quota will also be allotted on September 3. Students will have to accept these from September 3 to 4 and the fees can be paid till September 6.
