DU Admission 2024: Those who have studied in 12th, must fill those subjects in the form, DU told- what should students do for admission

Delhi University has guided students regarding the undergraduate admission process. On Friday, the admission branch held a webinar, which made the admission process easier for thousands of students across the country. Many students watched it live on the YouTube channel. Students also asked questions in the webinar, which were answered by the speakers.

Correction in form till 4, fill the form till 7

DU’s admission process will be done online through Common Seat Allocation System 2024 (CSAS). CSAS is being done in three phases, in which students have filled their personal and academic details under the first phase of registration.

In the webinar, Dean Admissions Prof Haneet Gandhi said, now we have started the second phase of the Common Seat Allocation System, students can fill this form till 7 August. In this, students will fill the choice of college and course. The more choices you fill, the more chances of getting a seat. But if you have not filled the form in the first phase, you still have time till 7 August. That is, along with Phase 2, the window of Phase 1 will also remain open.

Upload new OBC/EWS certificate

Prof Haneet said, if any mistake has been made while filling the form in Phase 1, then it can also be corrected till August 4. You can change your category, change bank details. If you have not applied for sports and extra-curricular activity seats (supernumerary seats), then you have a chance for that too. If the certificate of OBC or EWS category has been made for the new financial year, then you can also upload it. he/she said that only one-time opportunity is being given with the correction window. After this, no changes can be made in the form.

In the webinar, Joint Dean Anand Sonkar also guided the students about the documents required for admission and subject mapping. Admissions will be done for about 71 thousand seats in 79 UG programs and 198 BA program combinations in 68 colleges / institutes / centers of the university. There are about 1550 subject-college combinations. The first seat allocation list will be released on the 16th.

There are four tabs in the form

Subject Mapping: Fill in the marks of the subjects you studied in 12th. Make sure to fill in the subjects you studied in 12th and gave CUET for. If you have already filled in and made any mistake, then there is still a chance to correct it. Theory and practical marks have to be filled separately. Total marks and percentage will appear automatically. 12th marks will also be useful in case of a tie breaker.

Preference Eligibility: Then you have to map the subjects with the CUET score, that is, check your eligibility for the preferred course. The score will automatically appear on the portal with the CUET registration number. Your program specific CUET score for different courses will appear on the portal.

Preference Selection: Only those programs for which the student is eligible will be visible in this tab. All the colleges which have those programs will also be visible. The course and college which is the first choice of the student should be filled first. Then the second choice, then the third and so on. Keep saving as well.

Preferences Preview: Preview what you have filled in the form. If you want to make changes, you can do so. Save it as well. After this, submit the form.
