At that time, Congress was expected to get 55-59 seats while BJP was expected to get 16 seats. Many senior Congress leaders including Pawan Kheda, Jairam Ramesh had reached the Congress headquarters in Delhi. Everyone unanimously said that our government is coming to Haryana. Congress workers even started distributing sweets outside the main office along with drums, but after some time the results were seen going in favor of BJP.

BJP, which seemed limited to 16 seats, turned the tables in the next few moments. Bharatiya Janata Party is ahead on 49 seats while Congress’s figure has come down from 50 to 36. Seeing that the trend was not in their favor, the happiness of the people in the Congress office of Delhi also turned into disappointment. People who started preparations for the celebration outside the party are now seen missing. At present, the effect of reversal in trends is clearly visible outside the Congress headquarters.
