The Indian cricket team had a mixed performance in the West Indies. Team India has not lost a single series on this tour so far, but the performance of the players has not been as expected before the World Cup and Asia Cup. Especially in the T20 series, Team India’s performance was very poor. Questions also arose regarding team management. Coach Rahul Dravid is also being constantly targeted. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s veteran spin bowler Danish Kaneria has also given a shocking statement about Dravid.

Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria criticized India’s head coach Rahul Dravid, saying that he is not fit to coach in T20s. The Indian cricket team is currently playing a five-match T20I series against the West Indies, having lost the first three matches. There are two matches left in this series and the West Indies team is leading 2-1. West Indies won the first match by 4 runs at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The hosts then secured another two-wicket win at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. India were in a hopeless position ahead of the 3rd T20 match, but a brilliant performance helped them stage a spectacular comeback by winning the game by 7 wickets.
Kaneria hit out at India saying that they have not shown enough intent in the series. He commented on Hardik’s captaincy in the IPL and mentioned that the presence of Ashish Nehra in the Gujarat Titans camp is one of the major reasons behind Hardik’s success as a captain in the lucrative T20 tournament. He also launched a scathing attack on Dravid, terming him as “too slow” as a coach.
Why is this Indian team not showing enough intent? Hardik Pandya has achieved a lot of success with Gujarat Titans because of the presence of Ashish Nehra. India should show more intent in T20Is, and a coach plays a big role in that. Rahul Dravid, no doubt about it, he was a world class player, but Dravid is not fit to coach in T20. He is very slow. On the other hand, you see Ashish Nehra constantly doing something or the other and delivering messages on the field. I think he should get an opportunity.
