Jeddah. Even before playing in the Indian Premier League 2025, Vaibhav Raghuvanshi of Bihar has already made a lot of headlines. Rajasthan Royals team has included this young player in their team by paying a huge amount. Head coach Rahul Dravid believes that in the new season of IPL, his/her team can provide a good environment for 13 years of glory to shine. Suryavanshi, an eighth grade student from Samastipur district of Bihar, was bought by the Royals for Rs 1 crore 10 lakh and became the youngest player to get an IPL contract.

Dravid said in the video released by IPL, “I think he/she has good skills and we felt that we can provide a good environment for his/her development.” he/she came for our trial and we were very happy to see him/her.

The base price of Suryavanshi in the auction was Rs 30 lakh and Delhi Capitals made the first bid. Rajasthan bought this player by defeating Delhi. Suryavanshi recently scored a century in the youth test for India Under 19 team against Australia Under 19 team in Chennai. Vaibhav also became the youngest player to do so. Suryavanshi had scored 104 runs in 62 balls in that match.

he/she made his/her T20 debut for Bihar on Saturday in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Rajasthan and scored 13 runs in six balls. Suryavanshi, who was in the news on the junior circuit, has not played any big innings in first class cricket. he/she has scored runs at an average of 10 in five matches. Suryavanshi, who hails from Samastipur, Bihar, made his/her debut against Mumbai in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy when he/she was 12 years 284 days old as per official records, making him/her the youngest player in the history of the tournament.

At the age of 12, he/she played Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Bihar and scored close to 400 runs in five matches. Dravid said that his/her target in the auction was bowlers. Royals bought fast bowlers Akash Madhwal, Joffra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Ashok Sharma and Kwena Mafaka. Among spinners, they bought Mahish Tikshana and Karthikeya Singh.
