DPL: Manoj Prabhakar became the coach of the special team, said he/she will make the T20 league memorable, Navdeep Saini…


New Delhi. Delhi Premier League (DPL) is going to start on 17th August. This tournament will be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Manoj Prabhakar, who is counted among the great all-rounders of India, will be seen training the team West Delhi Lions in this T20 tournament. Prabhakar has been the bowling coach of Delhi’s Ranji champion team in 2008.

Speaking on being a part of the Delhi Premier League (DPL), Manoj Prabhakar said, “I am very excited to play the role of coach for West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League. It is going to be a great experience to hone the talent of the players and prepare them for this important platform. I am hopeful that together we will take this league to a level that will mesmerize cricket fans. Our aim is to make this tournament memorable.”

Manoj Prabhakar has played 39 Tests and 130 ODIs for India. he/she has taken 96 and 157 wickets in Tests and ODIs respectively. The former Indian all-rounder has also been the coach of the Afghanistan cricket team.
West Delhi Lions owner Dr. Rajan Chopra said that he/she is very excited about the Delhi Premier League. This team can do wonders under the leadership of coach Manoj Prabhakar. It is hoped that West Delhi Lions will emerge as a strong team in the DPL.

Indian fast bowlers Navdeep Saini, Hrithik Shokeen, Dev Lakra, Deepak Punia have been included as key players in West Delhi Lions. 33 men’s and 7 women’s matches will be played in the first edition of the Delhi Premier League. The tournament will be played from August 17 to September 8, 2024.
