Don’t want to play with Pakistan, here Babar left the captaincy, on the other side the bowler retired


New Delhi. Usman Qadir, son of Pakistan’s legendary spinner Abdul Qadir, has announced his/her retirement from Pakistan cricket. Babar Azam had resigned from the captaincy of the ODI and T20 team a day earlier. Just a day after his/her resignation from the captaincy, Usman has said goodbye to Pakistan cricket. 31 year old Qadir has played 1 ODI International and 25 T20 International matches. Apart from this, he/she is playing for two teams in Pakistan Super League. Qadir played his/her last international match as an ODI against South Africa in Centurion in 2021. Usman has clearly written in his/her retirement note that he/she does not want to play Pakistan cricket.

Usman Qadir played his/her last T20 International match for Pakistan in the Asian Games. The Asian Games were organized in China. Usman Qadir, who started his/her career as a leg break bowler, gave information about his/her retirement on social media. While announcing his/her retirement on his/her official X account, he/she thanked his/her coach and teammates. Usman wrote, ‘Today I am announcing my retirement from Pakistan cricket. It is a great honor for me to play for Pakistan. I express my gratitude for the support of my coach and my fellow players. From unforgettable victories to challenges, every moment has shaped my career. Enriched my life. I am very grateful to the enthusiastic fans who have always stood by me.

‘I will continue to carry forward my dad’s legacy’
Usman Qadir further wrote, ‘Stepping into a new chapter, I will continue my dad’s legacy. I will embrace my love for cricket and the lessons it has given me. I carry with me the spirit of Pakistan cricket and the memories created together. Usman recently played for the Dolphins team in Pakistan’s domestic ODI Cup. he/she took 4 wickets in two matches. For some time, Usman was not getting a place in the national team. In such a situation, he/she decided to distance himself from Pakistan cricket.

Usman Qadir took 32 international wickets
Leg spinner Usman Qadir made his/her debut in international cricket in November 2020. he/she played one ODI and 25 T20 International matches. During this period, he/she took 32 wickets in his/her name, including one wicket in ODI and 31 wickets in T20. Earlier, Usman Qadir had accused the then Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez of being out of the team. It was claimed in the media report that Usman had made these allegations against Hafeez.
