Donald Trump asks Jordan, Egypt to evacuate Palestinians from Gaza

In a shocking development, US President Donald Trump suggested ‘cleaning up’ the Gaza Strip, which has been reduced to rubble after the intense Israel-Hamas war, and the idea of moving Palestinians from the strip to some neighboring countries. Expressed.

Trump said he/she spoke to Jordan’s king about potentially building housing and relocating more than 1 million Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries, CNN reported.

Trump said he/she asked Jordan’s Abdullah II, America’s key partner in the region, to engage more Palestinians in a phone call Saturday.

“I told him/her I would like you to take more charge, because I’m looking at the entire Gaza Strip right now and it’s a mess, it’s a real mess,” CNN quoted Trump as saying aboard Air Force One.

Jordan’s state news agency Petra reported the call with Trump, but made no mention of relocating Palestinians. According to the United Nations, the kingdom is already home to more than 2.39 million registered Palestinian refugees.

Trump said he/she wants Jordan and Egypt – which border Gaza – to house both people, and he/she will also speak with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the matter on Sunday.

“You’re talking about a million and a half people and we’re going to clean that whole thing up,” Trump said, according to CNN. he/she also said that conflict has been going on in this region for centuries.

he/she added: “I don’t know, something has to happen, but right now it’s literally a demolition site. Almost everything has been destroyed and people are dying there, so I want to connect with some Arab countries and build housing in a different place where I think they can live in peace for a change.

Specifically, according to the United Nations, Israeli airstrikes have damaged or destroyed about 60 percent of buildings, including schools and hospitals, and about 92 percent of homes.

About 90 percent of Gazans have been displaced, and many residents have been forced to relocate repeatedly, some more than 10 times.
